Patriot Act Compliance is a search of the list of “Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons” (SDN List), published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of Treasury. Effective September 24, 2001, President Bush issued Executive Order 13224, (as amended by Order 13268) which requires anyone conducting a financial transaction to determine if the person(s) with whom they are doing business are listed on the Blocked Persons List.
